National Takino Suzuran Hillside Park

A wide variety of tulips and lavender! A garden of flowers that bloom one after another

Within the park, seasonal flowers bloom one after another in 12 locations such as the "Flower Makiba" and the "Valley of Harvest". Including wildflowers and other flowers growing wild in the plazas and forests, there are about 800 species. The season brightens up the mood of Hokkaido's typical rural landscape with gorgeous colors. In the west area of the Takino Forest Zone in mid-May, you can see more than 200 Shirane-aoi plants growing wild. The park is a highly satisfying place all year round, with people enjoying the flowers, children playing on the playground equipment and river, and families enjoying tube sledding and skiing on one of the largest courses in Japan in winter.
